Monthly Makers - June 2025

Each month on the Sew Belle blog, I take the time to share some wonderful makers, creatives and small businesses.  This month I'm sharing three wonderful businesses from across the UK and Ireland, including my local wool shop.

Simply, Katy
Katy creates digitally drawn prints, stationery and homeware.  Her style is elegant and joyful, and features many famous buildings and streets.  The beautiful pastel colour palettes that she uses give such a lovely, cottage-core aesthetic.  I would love to have a set of her prints to put up in my home, it's just so hard to choose which ones.

Hand Spinner Having Fun (Broadford, Isle of Skye)

Living rurally can have its disadvantages, especially when it comes to shops but one thing we are blessed with is having a beautiful independent shops.  The Hand Spinner Having Fun is my local wool shop, it's filled with beautiful yarns and wools, and the staff are so helpful.  They also have a range of crafting kits and tools available.

The Toy Shop (Robin Hood's Bay)

Being an auntie means I'm always on the lookout for small businesses and toy shops that focus on sustainability and eco-friendly values.  The Toy Shop in Robin Hoods Bay is exactly that, I've been a regular customer online and have been so pleased with each of my purchases.  The items are of an amazing quality, and allow you to give unique and beautiful gifts, whilst supporting a family-run business.
